(Charlotte)  Don’t look now Steve DeBerg but Vinny, Vinny, Vinny is running  down your record.‘Vinny Bag O’  Bones’  finally got this sleep number bed adjusted and woke up to remain  the starter to lead the Cardiac Cats to victory over the struggling San Francisco 49’ers.

Are the 49’ers really that bad or are the Panthers…  good?  Well…at this point…does it really matter?  The fans that showed up at BofA stadium Sunday were treated to a D-fest and the first Panther win at the Vault since trouncing the St Louis Rams 15-0, Nov of last year.

That’s over a year ago for those of you without a calendar handy. Yes, that’s right the Cardiac Cat’s win for the 1st time at home this year. After dropping five home games in a row, Panther Nation can take a sigh of relief knowing that streak is now over.

The Panthers haven’t won since mid-October when they chalked a 25-10 victory against the Cardinals at the site of  this seasons Super Bowl. Sorry Panther nation, that will be about the closest we get to football glory this year.

David Carr should start packing his bags for Hollywood. The writing is on the wall for the white gloved wonder. Word is he’s fielding offers to film remakes of M Jackson videos. Matt Moore deserves to be back-up and Panther fans deserve an opportunity to see what the future understudy can do. I’ve got a feeling we’ll be seeing more…from Moore this season.

Let’s get right to it Panther fans. This week’s game ball goes to Richard Marshall. The second year player from Fresno State has demonstrated he has the motivation and desire to play all out…every down defense…no matter who the opponent or the score.  Number 31 has shown flashes of D-brilliance all season. Coming off a great game against the Saints, he has continued the momentum by snagging a Trent Dilfer duck and taking it 67 yards to the house. The Panther D looked inspired against a weak opponent; they grabbed 4 int’s and carded six sacks!

Congratulations Mr. Marshall, you’re this weeks winner of the DC Panthers Fans game ball !
